Why join our organisation

Crown Forestry Rental Trust offers a wide range of networking opportunities to staff members.  We deal with a range of government and non-government organisations (including the Office of Treaty Settlements, Land Information New Zealand, Te Puni Kokiri, the Waitangi Tribunal and large private practice legal firms) along with flax roots claimant groups.  Therefore it is an ideal place for those who are considering careers in both the public and private sector.

The nature of our business means staff must be prepared to travel throughout New Zealand to meet with claimant organisations on a regular basis.

The Trust manages an investment pool of $390 million dollars annually which it collects from the rentals of various Crown forests throughout New Zealand.  We invest the rentals and use the interest to fund claimants who are participating in the Waitangi Tribunal process or negotiating with the Crown.

Our vision is to ensure that the Trust is recognised by the claimants and the Crown as a professional and valued organisation in the Treaty Settlement process.  We are a diverse organisation with employees working from three locations throughout New Zealand.

We provide training allowances for both personal and career development to all staff and are a family friendly organisation.
